glowing about Halloween

Burbank SDA was out of the church this Halloween night--the "team" was shining in fine form as they traversed the dark narrow streets and spookily decorated homes in our church backyard with glow sticks to pass out to trick-or-treating kids. Our neighbors were also given an invitation to a Magically entertaining performance by Pete McLeod at the Burbank Church Community room on Sunday, Nov 6 at 6PM. Pete is a Magic Castle regular who is one of the top sleight of hand entertainers around. See our photo album for more glow stick light pictures.Posted by Picasa

Video: One Man Show Church Service

One Man Show Church Service

A humorous video illustrating the vital importance of volunteers to a church community. Here Chris does everything at Burbank Seventh-day Adventist Church from opening up to preaching the sermon to cleaning the restrooms. Directed, edited and narrated by Glenn Harmon. This video was shown during September 2006 where we focused on one of our five purposes (MINISTRY).

welcome home, eric

And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age." - Matthew 28

Pastor Kaatz talks about Eric's decision to publicly demonstrate his commitment to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior by following biblical principles of baptism by immersing in water, symbolizing the death of his old self and rebirth into a christian life. Moments after immersion we celebrate with Eric. Welcome to your new home and family, this side of heaven!
